What’s covered

Motherboard, CPU, RAM, storage, screen, keyboard, trackpad, ports, WiFi, Bluetooth, speakers, webcam, microphone, hinges — every hardware component that was working when you received it.

What’s NOT covered

Accidental damage, liquid damage, software issues, cosmetic wear, unauthorised repairs, normal battery degradation. Basically — if you caused it, it’s not covered.

Battery & charger

1-month warranty only. Batteries below 70% are replaced during refurbishment. Gradual capacity loss after purchase is normal wear, not a defect.

Same warranty, every grade

Premium, Excellent, Good, Acceptable — all four grades get the same 12-month warranty and the same 20-point inspection. Grade only describes cosmetic condition.

Brand-new products

Brand-new items carry manufacturer warranty only — not CLS warranty. Check the product listing for manufacturer warranty details.

6-month accessories

Keyboards, mice, docking stations and other accessories carry a 6-month warranty. Same claim process, same direct support.

What warranty do refurbished devices come with?
All refurbished laptops, desktops, and monitors carry a 12-month hardware warranty. Accessories carry a 6-month warranty. Batteries and chargers carry a 1-month warranty. Brand-new products carry manufacturer warranty only.
How do I make a warranty claim?
Contact CLS directly — phone 1300 724 968, email [email protected], or visit the North Rocks showroom at Unit 25, 16 Loyalty Road, North Rocks NSW 2151. Have your order number ready. We respond within 1–2 business days and provide a prepaid shipping label for the return.
Does CLS pay for warranty shipping?
Yes. For approved warranty claims, CLS provides prepaid shipping labels both ways — you don’t pay for return or delivery shipping. For change-of-mind returns (within 30 days), the customer is responsible for return postage.
How long do warranty repairs take?
Fault assessment is completed within 2 business days of receiving the device. Repairs take 5–8 business days. You’ll be kept updated throughout the process.
What happens if my device can’t be repaired?
If the device is unrepairable, CLS offers an equivalent replacement or a refund in accordance with Australian Consumer Law. You won’t be left without a resolution.
Is the warranty the same across all grades?
Yes. Premium, Excellent, Good, and Acceptable all receive the same 12-month hardware warranty. The grade only describes cosmetic condition — not performance or warranty coverage. Full details on our grading page.
Does the warranty cover battery life?
Batteries carry a 1-month warranty. During refurbishment, any battery below 70% of original capacity is replaced. Gradual capacity loss after purchase is normal wear and is not covered. If your battery fails completely within the first month, contact us.
What about change-of-mind returns?
CLS offers a 30-day change-of-mind return policy. The device must be returned in original condition. The customer is responsible for return postage on change-of-mind returns — this is separate from warranty claims, where CLS pays both ways.
