Grade describes cosmetic condition. Every grade passes the same 20-point inspection, gets the same warranty, and runs the same Windows 11 Pro. The only difference is how the outside looks.

Premium — Like New

Like-new condition, 80–100% battery. Virtually no signs of use. Best for: client-facing, gifting, presentation contexts.

Excellent — Near Perfect

Minor marks only visible under close inspection, 70–100% battery. Best for: professionals who want near-new appearance.

Good — Daily User

Light scratches on lid/chassis, some keyboard wear. 70–100% battery. Best for: home use, students, internal business.

Acceptable — Economy

Visible cosmetic wear — scuffs, marks, wear on chassis. 70–100% battery. Best for: budget buyers, IT labs, secondary devices.

Same 20-point inspection

Every grade passes the same structured inspection. CPU, RAM, storage, battery, display, ports, keyboard — all tested identically. Grade never predicts reliability.

What do the condition grades mean?
Premium is like-new with 80–100% battery health. Excellent is near-perfect with 70–100% battery. Good is a daily user with 70–100% battery. Acceptable is economy grade with 70–100% battery. Grade describes appearance only — all four pass the same 20-point inspection and carry the same 12-month warranty.
Is the warranty the same for all grades?
Yes. Every grade carries the same 12-month hardware warranty — Premium, Excellent, Good, and Acceptable. Grade describes appearance, not warranty coverage. CLS pays shipping both ways for approved warranty claims.
How do you test battery health?
Battery diagnostic reads current capacity versus design capacity. Premium requires 80–100%. All other grades require 70% or above. Batteries below the threshold are replaced before listing.
Are all HDDs replaced with SSDs?
Yes. Every HDD is replaced with a brand-new SSD during refurbishment, regardless of grade. Faster boot, more durable, and eliminates carryover data risk entirely.
Is data from the previous owner removed?
Yes. NIST 800-88 aligned data wipe on every device. Most devices receive brand-new SSDs, eliminating carryover data entirely. CLS operates under ISO 27001 information security management.
Can I see the grade before I buy?
