1. Intake & triage
Device arrives from corporate lease fleet, trade-in, or business upgrade. Storage type identified. Initial cosmetic assessment. Devices with structural damage are rejected immediately.
Every device goes through the same process: intake, 20-point testing, NIST 800-88 data wipe, cosmetic grading, warranty. This hub explains each step — no marketing, just process.
Every device follows the same sequence. None of these steps are skipped, regardless of price point or grade.

NIST 800-88 aligned software overwrite on every device. Most get brand-new SSDs, eliminating carryover risk entirely. Wipe records retained. ISO 27001 certified data handling.
Visual, hardware, software, data security, final sign-off. CPU, RAM, storage, battery, display, ports, keyboard, trackpad, webcam, WiFi, Bluetooth — all tested individually. Failed devices repaired or recycled.
After cleaning, each device is graded: Premium (like-new), Excellent (near-perfect), Good (daily user), or Acceptable (economy). Grade describes appearance only — all grades pass the same tests.
Windows 11 Pro installed. 12-month hardware warranty applied — same coverage on every grade. Device photographed, listed with accurate specs and grade, and cleared for sale.
The refurbished market varies in quality and process rigour. CLS publishes every step because buyers deserve to know what they are purchasing — not just a grade label, but the work behind it.
Every device in our store has cleared the full 5-stage process. Dell, HP, Lenovo — SSD, Windows 11 Pro, 12-month warranty. Visit our North Rocks, Sydney showroom or shop online.
